A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe, said on Friday that he was set to dump the opposition party for the ruling All Progressives Party, APC.
Ogunlewe, a former Minister of Works, confirmed the development in an interview with a political correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos State.
He was reacting to the recent defection of his son, Moyosore from the PDP to the APC.
Moyosore contested for a place in the Lagos State House of Assembly on the platform of the PDP but lost and soon after, announced his resignation from the PDP.
He has been attending APC meetings in his area with other APC chieftains, including Bayo Osinowo, a member of the state assembly and senator-elect for the Lagos East Senatorial District.

Aliko Dangote is reportedly selling his loss-making business unit, Dangote Flour Mills to Olam International for N130 billion ($361.11 million). The sale of Dangote Flour Mills Plc for N130 billion ($361.11 million), was announced in a corporate disclosure posted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Tuesday. According to Thabo Mabe, director at Dangote Flours, Olam International has indicated interest to acquire all the outstanding and issued shares of the flour mills company that are not currently owned by Ola through its subsidiary, Crown Flour Mills Limited.
“The total consideration offered by Olam and being considered by the Board of Dangote Flour Mills for the entire 5 billion issued shares of the company is N130 billion.

“The consideration represents the enterprise value on a debt-free, cash-free basis, payable in cash at the closing of the proposed transaction. This consideration will be adjusted for net working capital and net debt as of 31 March 2019 or any other later date that may be agreed by Olam and the Board of Dangote Flour Mills to arrive at the final price payable to equity shareholders.”

The people’s democratic party has called out President Muhammadu Buhari to tender his West African School Certificate(WASC) to the presidential election petitions tribunal.

This is coming after, Festus Keyamo who served as the official spokesman for the re-election bid of the President said Buhari doesn’t need a WAEC certificate to be eligible to contest in the February 2019 presidential election.
According to the PDP, President Buhari should tender the WAEC certificate he claimed he has to the presidential election petition tribunal instead of allowing his campaign spokesperson, Festus Keyamo, to insult the sensibility of Nigerians with lame attempt at diversionary tactics.
The party also called on Nigerians to note that by claiming that an aspirant does not need WAEC certificate, but the ability to speak English to contest for the office of the President indicates that Buhari Presidency, through Festus Keyamo, has finally admitted that President Buhari does not have a WAEC certificate as he claimed in his INEC resume.
A statement released and signed by PDP’s spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan read: ”The PDP says it is incompletely unacceptable for President Buhari to swear to an affidavit to claim the educational qualification he does not possess.
”An attempt to deceive the public using a defective reading and skewed interpretation of a section of the constitution cannot exonerate President Buhari.
“Moreover, Section 295 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) is very clear on issues of interpretations and reference to questions of law.
“The PDP, therefore, maintains that the onus is on President Buhari, as ‘Mr. Integrity’ to tender the certificate he claims to possess before the tribunal instead of this lame diversion from Presidential aide.”
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has taken a swipe at the national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole over a statement he allegedly made that the party will not share chairmanship of House of Representatives and Senate’ Committees with opposition parties in the 9th Assembly, saying the former labour union leader lacks understanding of the internal working mechanisms of the hallowed chambers.

The party described as unfortunate, the statement credited to Oshiomhole, adding that there is no way the Speaker of the House and President of the Senate would emerge without the support of lawmakers elected on the platform of the PDP.
In a chat with our correspondent yesterday, Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the party, Diran Odeyemi, said the PDP has a joker it is keeping close to the chest, warning that when the chips are down,” both Oshiomhole and the APC will be shocked.” He said: “We wonder why Adams Oshiomhole will continue to display a clear lack of understanding of how the leadership of the federal parliament emerges.
It seems he believes that his choice of Ahmed Lawan and Femi Gbajabiamila for the Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives respectively will see fruition without the support of our lawmakers. We have our own strategy and at the right time, both him (Oshiomhole) and the APC will be shocked.”
Odeyemi further noted that as a party “still learning the ropes” having only won elections in 2015, “APC can be forgiven for thinking the leadership of the National Assembly is its own to determine.”
On the chairmanship of the committees, the publicity scribe counselled Oshiomhole not to be in a hurry, stating that very soon, the chairmen will emerge in a way he would find difficult to understand.
“He should not be in a hurry and like I said, Oshiomhole appears to have little understanding of how these things work. The chairmen of the committees are not his to appoint. The earlier he realises this, the better for him,” he added.
The Federal Government has asked the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar to allow the court to determine the merits or otherwise of his petition against the winner of the 2019 presidential election in Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari.
It said it was wrong for the former Vice President to resort to self-help in his desire to claim victory in the election.
Mohammed said: “As you must have noticed in recent times, posters bearing the picture of former Vice President and the presidential candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, with the inscription: ”THE PUKKA, H.E. ATIKU ABUBAKAR, THE REAL AND THE RIGHT”, have surfaced across major streets in Abuja.
“The appearance of these posters coincide with the media report that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has hired a US lobbying firm to convince the United States not to recognize the re-election of President Buhari until the Supreme Court has ruled on the suit by the PDP presidential candidate
“The posters and the hiring of US lobbyists, the latest of such by the PDP candidate, have triggered questions about what Alhaji Abubakar is up to. Is he starting a fresh campaign after the elections have been won and lost?
“Has he rescinded his decision to challenge the results of the presidential election in court, perhaps after realizing that the results he claimed to have obtained from the INEC back server are cooked? Is he now going for self-help? What really is Atiku’s motive?
“Gentlemen, we are aware of media reports that the PDP presidential candidate on Wednesday distanced himself from the posters that are circulating in Abuja. He also reportedly denied hiring US lobbyists, claiming tongue-in-cheek that the APC fabricated the report.
“If the media reports are right, it means that the former Vice President has suddenly realized the grave implication of his actions, hence has decided to beat a quick retreat before it is too late.
“As a self-avowed democrat, he should realize that the only lawful channel for challenging the result of an election is through the courts. Resorting to self-help, as he seems to be doing now, is an act of desperation and the consequences are dire.

On Friday February 15th Akwa Ibom State police in the early hours arrested 400 suspected thugs in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital. The suspects were arrested in their hideout in Ewet Housing Estate.
While reacting to the incident, Jeremiah Dogo, a Police Inspector, said the “arrest was made possible by the deployment of extra policemen to the state by the Inspector General of Police (IGP).”
Inspector Dogo said the suspects confessed that they were brought in from Bayelsa and Rivers states by PDP chieftains to help rig the general elections.
Reports has it that the hideout where the thugs were nabbed is believed to be owned by a PDP chieftain in the state.
The suspects are mostly indigenes of the two states. Heavy guns and ammunition were recovered from them.
Police say they have received reports of the various hideouts of the thugs and cultists that have come into the state in the last few days.
“We will make life unbearable for them,” a source in the state police command said.
The APC in the state has hailed the police for the arrest.
The APC said the arrest has brought to fore the alleged statement by the director-general of the state governor’s campaign council, Air Commodore Idongesit Nkanga (rtd), that Governor Udom Emmanuel should prepare for war if he wanted to win the upcoming election.
The party also quoted the speaker of the state house of assembly, Onofiok Luke and Senator Bassey Albert as allegedly saying a few months ago that they would do everything possible to ensure the victory of the PDP in the general elections.
The Publicity Secretary of the PDP in the state, Comrade Iniobong Ememobong, said he was not aware of the arrest of any group of persons said to be working for the party.
But the State Commissioner of police, Mr. Bashir Makama, who confirmed the arrests, said the police was still investigating the matter to find out if the suspects were PDP or APC thugs.
Makama said the police acted on intelligence report, hence carried out raids on suspected black spots in Uyo and its environs to forestall any breakdown of law and order during today’s residential election.
The Commissioner of Police, who was also silent on the number of suspects arrested in the sting operation, also said he was not aware of any vehicle caught with money in it.

The National Basketball Association and the International Basketball Federation are to launch a professional league in Africa in January 2020.
The Basketball Africa League (BAL) will feature 12 teams from at least six African countries.
Fiba Africa’s executive director, Alphonse Bile, said the league will help players compete in the “best possible environment”.
Charlotte Hornets’ Bismack Biyombo is one of 13 African players in the NBA.
Bile said: “The implementation of this league is vital to our young up-and-coming players in Africa as it gives them something to take aim at.”
Fiba secretary general Andreas Zagklis added: “It’s a huge joy to see our partnership with the NBA enter unchartered territory as we work together for the first time to maximise the potential of professional basketball in Africa.”
Former US president Barack Obama has backed the plans, while NBA legend Michael Jordan, who is now the Charlotte Hornets chairman, was at the launch event in North Carolina.
Former US president Barack Obama tweeted his support for the new league
How will the league work?
The NBA and Fiba will conduct qualification tournaments to identify which teams from several African countries, including Angola, Egypt, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa and Tunisia, can compete in the league.
No more than two teams from the same country will be eligible to play in the league.
The NBA has seen 80 current and former players from Africa or with family links to the continent compete, including Hall of Famers Hakeem Olajuwon from Nigeria and Dikembe Mutombo from the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Paul Enenche, has urged Nigerians to remain calm, following the postponement of Saturday’s elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Enenche urged Nigerians to turn out en-masse and perform their civic responsibilities during the rescheduled elections.
The clergy man, who made the appeal during service at the Glory Dome, on Sunday was reacting to the several reactions that trailed the postponement of the Saturday’s elections.
Enenche, while urging Nigerians not to be too angry with INEC, stressed that no institution and group of people will deliberately agree to disgrace a whole nation before the world.
He said: “We have had several reactions from several quarters and I won’t say anything about the reactions but I want to appeal to us all that this coming Saturday which the election has been shifted to, we should go out and vote, don’t be tired.
“People travelled to places for this election and they have to return, please anywhere you can get money do and travel back.
“Nigeria is at a very strategic junction, the destiny of the nation is at stake. We believe the Bible and it says all things woks together for good so I believe the moment of election is meant for good to them that loves God.
“Do you remember when I said there will be many dramas and we are at the tail end of these dramas but listen to this we don’t know the details but Jehovah knows. We do what we can and leave what we can’t. It’s our duty to go out again and do what we need to do. We vote conscience, what we can defend before God, fear nothing, don’t say your vote will not count go and do it and let God make it count, God is on how side in this election and the victory is assured.
“Don’t be tired hit the road again and discharge your civic responsibility, do what you are meant to do and God will do what only him can do.
“Don’t be too angry with INEC, I can see everything turning around. I don’t think anybody or institution will deliberately decide to disappoint the whole few hours to voting, I don’t think anybody would agree to bring the whole nation to shame before the whole world. Every time you see the rat out of the hole in the day time you know something is up so don’t over curse INEC just calm down and let us do what is expected of us and God will do his way.”

Make-up has menace in the society now that women can't step of their house without make-up.....
Although some recent findings have revealed that too much and wrong application of make-ups have serious adverse effects on women, this seem not to deter ladies from wearing those enhanced looks that send some men gawking. A Dermatologist, Dr Idi Martins, has warned against excessive use of make-up, saying that it exposes the skin to considerable amounts of germs and harmful toxins. Read more on dangerous and harmfull effects of make-ups on women here. However, some women who spoke to newsmen, said they could not do without make-up, particularly when going out of their house. Esther Yusuf, a banker, said she cannot step out of her house without applying make-up to enhance her facial features. “I cannot leave my house without applying make-up on my face. I am so used to make-up on my face that I feel naked without it. “I have to apply make-up, no matter how late I am for an appointment; even if it’s just powder,’’ she said. Agree Similarly, Jamila Umar, a civil servant, said the application of make-up on her face builds her confidence and makes her look more radiant. “I don’t apply it much on my face; I use make-up to highlight my features because it makes me look more beautiful and it enhances my confidence. “ I look so dull without make-up; as if I just woke up from sleep. It’s so obvious that when people see me, they usually ask if I was ill or going through some difficulties,’’ she said. Also commenting on the use of make-up, some men said that they preferred to see a woman without any make-up on her face because it made them look younger and natural. According to the respondents, the real beauty of a woman becomes evident when she is not wearing make-up. Mr Emmanuel Hezekiah, said he preferred to see his wife without any make-up on her face. “I prefer to see my wife in her natural face, without any form of artificial adornment or make-up. It brings out her real beauty and makes her look younger. “Keeping a natural face also saves time for other things, rather than spending it on applying make-up,’’ he said. Similary, Mr Enoch Musa said he appreciates the use of make-up on a woman’s face, but when it is applied wrongly or excessively, it could make such women look older and unappealing. “Some women actually look beautiful wearing make-up, but when it is excessively used, it makes them look so unappealing and older,’’ Musa said.

Mobile phone retailing is a lucrative business especially in a country like Nigeria.
With a population in excess of a hundred and sixty million people out of which a clear majority are young people, Nigeria provides a very big market as far as the mobile telephony
business is concerned. If you are interested in this business, here is how to go about it.
1) LEASE A RETAIL SPACE : You will need a shop preferably in an area of town with lots of human and vehicular traffic. Depending on the location, this will usually cost you anywhere between a hundred thousand naira (NGN100,000) to four hundred and fifty thousand naira (NGN450,000) per annum.
2) REGISTER YOUR BUSINESS: It is advisable to register your business with Nigeria's Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). This gives your business a legal status. In addition, you will be able to open a bank account(s) with the name of your business. Without this registration, potential institutional customers would not be willing to do business with you.
3) GET YOUR STOCK : There are about two major ways to go about this. You can either buy from wholesalers, distributors and brand representatives or order your goods or direct from China  through AliExpress. AliExpress is owned by Chinese online mall giant ALIBABA. All you need do is open a free account at www.aliexpress.com and place your orders. They deliver at wholesale price and your goods would usually take between one to seven days to arrive. Summarily, AliExpress is a reliable, safe and secure way to get your goods at comparatively cheap prices. It is important to have different brands in stock. Note that you can make good money by also selling phone accessories like phone covers, screen guards, power banks and the likes.
4) HIRE A FEW EMPLOYEES: You can start by hiring between one to three employees depending on the scale but remember to keep costs down.
5) BUILD A DATABASE: This is important but not compulsory. Get experts to develop a database for your business. A database will help you keep accurate record of your deals. It will be even more necessary as you expand and open more branches.
6) INTRODUCE ALTERNATIVE PAYMENT PLATFORMS: You may consider getting a Point Of Sale (PoS) machine for more convenient payment options for your customers. This reduces the frequency with which you carry physical cash and the risk that comes with it. Again this is not compulsory; just important.
7) SELL ONLINE: You may also consider selling through an online platform. This gives you a rare opportunity to sell to people outside of your immediate environment. In other words, your business would neither be limited by time nor space.

Tiarra Becca was posting what she thought
was a loving picture of she and her four children but her followers though wrong.

She posted the photo below with the caption:
Family.

Her followers took to the comment section to
express their dislike for the concept and
scolding what she did as bad parenting. Someeven went as far as claiming she was exploiting her kids.

This eventually caused her to take
down the photo.

The reality star has failed to respond to their
hateful comments since then and it is clear she is proud and happy of her kids. Also, she has a great body for a four-time mother.

See previous photo-shoots she has done with the family.
